MEET OUR REGISTERED MANAGER
At Wellness Care Group Ltd, we believe exceptional care starts with strong leadership. Our Registered Manager, Kehinde Akande, famously called Kenny, is a compassionate and experienced healthcare professional with almost 12 years of nursing experience across acute hospital care, community nursing, and clinical leadership.
Throughout his career, Kenny has worked in a variety of NHS settings, caring for individuals with diverse and often complex health needs. His experience includes roles as a Band 6 Charge Nurse, Deputy Ward Manager, and Senior Community Nurse, where he led multidisciplinary teams, managed complex clinical situations, promoted high standards of care, and supported people to live safely and independently within their own homes.
As the Registered Manager and Nominated Individual of Wellness Care Group Ltd, Kenny is committed to ensuring that every person receives safe, compassionate, and person-centred care tailored to their individual needs, preferences, and goals. He believes that excellent care is about much more than meeting physical needs, it is about building meaningful relationships, respecting dignity and choice, promoting independence, and supporting people to live fulfilling lives in the place they know best: their own home.
Kenny is passionate about developing a culture where kindness, professionalism, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything the team does. He works closely with service users, families, healthcare professionals, and community partners to ensure care is delivered to the highest standards and in line with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Fundamental Standards.
His leadership is guided by the core values of Empowerment, Compassionate Excellence, and Integrity & Trust. These values shape every aspect of Wellness Care Group Ltd, from recruiting and developing staff to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that families can rely on.
